I have always been passionate about art and being of service to others. My upbringing as an immigrant in a traditional household invoked an understanding that art and service were two completely different worlds that I needed to choose from. My time was divided between creating illustrations for my art shop or providing my best patient care to high-risk populations.
After immersing myself in UX/UI design, I developed a deep appreciation for how design allows for infinite possibilities. Possibilities in which I can express my passion for art and creativity while making a positive impact on others people's experiences.
With my background in public health, I understand that viewing a problem from multiple lenses (social, environmental, systemic, etc.) is the minimum requirement to understanding the problem and the patient/user. Through my experience in addressing health disparities, I advocate for combining research, empathy and collaboration to build a solid foundation for the decision making stages and achieve impactful solutions.
Using the skills I honed in my professional experience, combined with my passion for art and creation, I am devoted to creating beautiful, inclusive and user-centered products and experiences.
